Healthy Turkey Patties


4 lbs 93% lean turkey. (You can use 99% lean, but it’s way too dry for this recipe)
– sometimes I use 2 lbs of regular and 2 of Italian seasoned ground turkey for more flavor

1 large grated zucchini (squeeze the juice out once grated)
1 large grated carrot
1 medium grated yellow onion
1 grated garlic clove (add more if you like)
2 minced green onions
1/2 cup fresh herbs (mint, parsley, oregano, thyme – any combination)
1/2 cup egg whites
1 tbsp salt (use 1 tsp if you’re using seasoned turkey)
1 tbsp ground pepper

If you want a even more flavor – and more calories, add the following:
1 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup olive oil
2 whole eggs instead of egg whites


Pre-heat your BBQ to medium-high

Grate the zucchini.  Once grated, squeeeeeeze out all the extra water from it

All all the ingredients to a bowl and mix well.  No big secrets here, just mix to incorporate all the flavors

Form into 4-5oz patties

I typically spray them with some coconut oil to keep them from sticking to the bbq

BBQ and enjoy!

Serve with some delicious Raita or Tzatziki!
