4 chopped apples
filo dough butter
1 tsp cinnamon
2-3 tbsp. Honey
chopped thyme buds
toasted almonds olive oil
Create a nutty paste by processing some almonds with honey and olive oil. Set aside.
Cook apples with butter and cinnamon. Add the honey. Add the lavender and thyme buds. Peel the bananas and add to pot whole. Add the nutty paste to pot. Let cook for 5 – 7 minutes.
Butter a round 12” pan. Line the pan with filo dough so that filo spills out of pan so you can fold in over later, and brush with lots of butter. Add toasted almonds to bottom of pan. Scoop the mixture from the pot and spread evenly over almonds. Fold the filo leaves over to cover the mixture, making sure to butter the layers. Cook in a 400° oven for 10 – 20 minutes or until filo is crispy. Remove from oven and top with powdered sugar.
