Carne Asada – Skirt Steak


1-2 lbs skirt steak or any thinly sliced steak
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons or limes
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp oregano
1 tsp cumin
Salt & Pepper


Mix all the ingredients except for the salt and let the steak marinate for 2-3 hours. Remove the meat from the marinade, season with salt, and BBQ for 2-3 minutes on each side Be careful not to overcook or it will come out dry.

When done, let the steak sit for a few minutes and slice thinly against the grain.

Serve as is, or accompany with rice, beans, tortillas, cheese, tomatoes, etc.
