Habanero Sauce

habanero peppers sound scary, but if you treat them right, they deliver a deep floral flavor with just the right burn.

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 habanero peppers
  • 1 medium peeled carrot
  • 1/2 sweet yellow onion
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

INSTRUCTIONS

  • chop your onion and sauté it over low heat to caramelize. Set aside
  • split 10 habanero peppers and remove the seeds. If you want spicier, leave a few with seeds.
  • add all ingredients to a blender with half the oil and blend
  • drizzle in the remaining oil until you get a smooth silky orange consistency and color
  • taste and add more oil or salt as necessary. It should have a creamy buttery taste
  • Enjoy!
